The Challenge
Statom Group were using fixed, facial recognition units to manage attendance on their sites. However, not only were they finding the data from the units unreliable and temperamental, at the end of the day, the guys would have to have to wait in long queues to leave site which would be frustrating and time-consuming.
On top of this, the recorded hours of all their guys coming through to payroll each week would have to be manually adjusted and checked by directors and payroll. It was a weekly headache that would take valuable time away from everybody’s working days.

Statom Group’s commercial teams now have real-time, accurate data on their labour resource with a variety of labour reports at their fingertips. With this information to hand, they can have confidence that they know what their labour costs are at any point during a project, as well as giving valuable data for the costing and planning of future projects.
4 | Digitally signed Safety Bulletins
Statom Group previously would get Safety notices or Toolbox Talks signed on paper that would have to get printed out and then returned to the office. This was both time-consuming and difficult to manage. Now, they can upload any document onto their Chime platform and push it out to their guys to read and digitally sign. Easy!
5 | Variations Report
The variation report is one of many reports on the Chime Platform. Mark Brister has found this report invaluable, as he says: “I can see on a Monday morning what sites / hours have been changed from the actual clocking in hours and then make calls to follow up why this might be.
